The short version
What is Prosecco?
Prosecco is produced mainly from the Glera grape in northeastern Italy. Most is made in a pressurized tank, preserving fresh fruit and floral aromas rather than emphasizing yeasty complexity.
Pear, green apple, melon, honeysuckle, and citrus lead. Bubbles are usually soft and fruit-forward, with sweetness levels ranging from dry to gently off-dry.
